We are so excited to launch CoderDojoDurham with two events for December 2014.
What is CoderDojoDurham? It is a programming club for young people ages 7 to 17. Attendees learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, and games in a fun, social environment. Club meetings will take place in the Durham area, and will occur bi-monthly, and will last 1.5/2 hours.
(Want to form a dojo in your area? Here’s how.)
“One Hour of Code” and CoderDojoDurham Launch Events will occur on Monday, December 8th, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Stanford Warren Library and Sunday, December 14th, from 4:00 to 5:30 pm at Ideas! Coffee House. We highly recommend that you RSVP for a FREE TICKET in order to attend. You can click on the active links or visit Eventbrite and search “coderdojodurham”.
What is “One Hour of Code”? “One Hour of Code” is a “the largest learning event in history”. “The Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics.” This year, the challenge will take place from December 8th – 14th. Our CoderDojoDurham events will take place on the first and last day of the challenge.
